Today I talked to a networking buddy I met on LinkedIn. We talked about his career and what he did to get into his position. He is currently working on a project to market an upcoming game to be released next year. Some of the advice he gave me was that teamwork is essential in making a good project better. I told him about some of the group projects I have done while in college, and he told me that I have only scratched the surface. He talked about the intensive research that they do as a group, the mandatory meetings that have, and how everyone must contribute to the project. He also left me with a bit of knowledge that very little teachers I believe understand nowadays. College books and classrooms do not teach you how to adjust to real life situations. Only by taking part in an assignment and learning through real experience can you acquire the skills necessary for life.
